Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I'm gonna drop my normal sarcasm for today. I'm thankful for whatever mixture of fate and gods helped me to get to such a good place in my life- wondrous family, loyal friends, and annoyingly cute sprog. I hope you have as much to be thankful for as I do ^_^

*deep breath* We have a house filled to bursting with friends, family, and the smells of cooking food. I'm healthy and fairly happy, things could be better but oh so much worse as well. All in all, today is a good day.

And now I'm off to go down to one of the cottages finish cooking a killer tasty ham.

Edit: Okay I can't resist talking about the killer ham. I modded the recipe from Alton Brown's City Ham. So basically it is a layering effect; first layer is homemade applesauce, then dark brown sugar, spritz of Calvados (an apple brandy) and then a layer of homemade molasses cookies (mixed with bread crumbs cause I was low on cookies). It comes out oh so wonderful. Sweet and salty and YUMMY!!! LOL Okay I'll stop chattering and eat now.

I feed her broccoli and spinach every chance I get. She goes for peanut butter and lately, bananas, on her own.

That's what happened to the last of the cookies! How very nifty! I mean I think this counts for double points that the ham was used with homemade applesauce and homemade cookies!

That just ups the cool points of the household.
