Well today is the release of the newest HP book. We find out if ye olde carpet book is fake or not.

Wicked busy today. I have a huge cake planned for the kids birthday party. I also want to finish washing the floors and I need to call the school. *sighs* Busy, busy, oh and I have Pumpkin Pasties to finish as well.

Off I go.

if I were a really evil author for a massively participated book...

I'd put a torrented "book" up myself, but this would be a ruse, and have content that would piss off the fans and be on the level of bad fanfic, and be barely readable from the photographs.

...And then relase the real book only in stores.

I'll grant that's a possibility... because from looking at some of it I'll say that the only person capable of writing a scene such a particular long-winded fashion is Rowling herself. As usual, the beginning does suck you in with its interesting sequence of events but mediocre writing style. I think this one was written so that the movie for #7 could contain everything in the book... the scenes are described in such detail that the filmmaker need only put all the items in their right spots and film the scene. Which makes for rather dull reading, when an hour of reading encompasses 15 minutes of realtime events.

The phrase "pumpkin pasties" can't help but make me giggle...
