I hate gimp. Gimp is a program design to drive me right up the wall. Actually I almost always get exactly what I want out of it, even if I spend hours screaming at it. Today it was not hours but it was some fair amount of time. On the bright side the
aceofcakes community now has a really cool Duff quote added to the main lj background picture. *sighs* I have offcially fallen to the fangirlness. I'm way to proud of my little fledgling community and way overly interested in it. I just wish the traffic would pick up. Oh well. I'm not sure I'm happy with the grammatical formatting on the piece though. I didn't do that part I just ganked it from a website. Could one of you grammar nazi type folks look at this and give me your thoughts. It seems to be over run by commas and I'm thinking atleast one should be a semicolon. But I love the semicolon and have an urge to throw it everywhere.
"I hope that it is inspirational. I want people to think to themselves, that if a guy that used to do graffiti can open a high end shop, maybe I can paint a picture, or start a pesto business, or anything, to be inspired, not quit their job, but roll the dice and take a class on pottery, just anything… It doesn't take a genius to get off your ass and go."
And the wonder of saving in a gimp format means I can easily go edit the commas. Oh gimp how I love you yet hate you.
I have been on a baking/cooking kick the past week or so. I would have actually done more then I have been but I was also wicked sick. Today I made from scratch Cinnamon Rolls and Cranberry-Walnut bread. We are basically out of yeast which sucks. The Cranberry-Walnut bread actually is a quick bread, no yeast needed. It is damned tasty. I like making baked goods. I think I'm gonna buy some yeast while I am out tomorrow and do something else. Hmm what should I do tomorrow? Any suggestions? I'll put pictures up of the fresh backed goods tomorrow once i figure out how Jeff and Katie's camera works. I made a kicking italian red sauce a day ago for work portions. I was also going to make chili but we didn't have the ingredients. I think I'm gonna make some muffins or soemthing for the kids. Oh hey we have a shagload of the stew Jeff made leftover. I think if I mix it with a little bit of garlic mashed potatoes (for thickening) it would be a kicking stuffing for those pocket meals I was going to make. Hmmmm not a bad idea. Yay ^_^
